Dear Colleagues, Dear Friends,
It truly has been a long wait, but we are nearly there………
Only once every three years FECAVA and our sister organization WSAVA are joining forces to host a combined European and World Companion Animal Veterinary Congress in Europe.
Some of you might still have fond memories of the stunning event in Copenhagen in 2017, where over 3000 delegates from all over the world gathered to share and to improve their knowledge and at the same time to enjoy Danish hospitality.
The next event in Europe was scheduled for September 2020 in Warsaw, but we all know what happened then……
Even though the date for the Congress had to be moved, the Polish Organising Committee, the Professional Congress Organiser, and especially Frederic Gaschen, the organizer of the scientific program doubled their efforts and managed within just a few months to transform the whole event into an entirely virtual format.
Not only has this been a logistic masterpiece, but it has also opened completely new opportunities:
rather than spending considerable sums on travel and hotel costs, delegates will be able to access state-of-the-art lectures and top speakers from around the globe in the comfort of their own homes. There will be no competition for the best seats in the house as everyone will have a front-row seat and as all lectures are recorded, there will also be the opportunity to listen to particularly interesting parts again.
Interaction with both the speakers and other delegates will be possible in “Question and Answer” sessions and in Break Out rooms.
There will even be the opportunity to visit a virtual trade exhibition and to network with exhibitors from all over the world.
Although we will probably all agree, that a physical event will remain irreplaceable, the future will surely be a combination of both and the joint WSAVA/FECAVA Congress 2020 will make a start to show us what can be done virtually …….
If you have not done so already – please set aside a few CE days from 21-24 March and register for this groundbreaking new congress.
