The effectiveness of Canine Hip and Elbow Dysplasia screening

A recent study has revealed a marked improvement in hip and elbow scores for six most commonly screened dog breeds in the UK. The number of dogs, screened for dysplasia has increased and also the grades of dogs used for breeding are improving.

This is a good achievement and encouragement in a fight against these two hereditary orthopedic diseases, that have a highly negative impact on the health and welfare of an affected animal.
