
New rules for traveling with pets after Brexit
The UK left the European Union on January 31, 2020. This will bring changes regarding traveling with pets between the UK and EU. Now, we are in a one-year-long transition period, when “old” pet travel rules are still valid, allowing us to get ready for the new legislation, which will come into force with the start of 2021.
The Presidents of the Federation of Veterinarians of Europe (FVE), Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RVCS) and British Veterinary Association (BVA) are reassuring us in their joint statement: Regardless of the political situation, the veterinary profession in Europe will remain united.
