
Healthy breeding in Germany
With commitment and expertise, the GSAVA is involved in actions on brachycephalic dogs and other cases of extreme breeding.
Together with other veterinary organizations, the GSAVA produced a flyer to inform the public and appealed to companies and to media to refrain from advertising animals bred for torture.
Also, breeding associations were contacted, as well as politicians.

Raising awareness about health and welfare issues associated with excessive breed-related traits such as brachycephaly is important to FECAVA. The Federation has recently adopted a Europe-wide position paper on this topic.
