BVA’s posters on microaggressions

Microaggressions are negative comments or actions directed at a marginalized group of people. Microaggressions are not loud, angry outbursts; rather, they are small things that often go unnoticed by everyone except those who are affected.

British Veterinary Association – BVA designed posters to make people think about what they say, and start conversations about race, gender, mental health, sexuality and disability in our profession. Even those of us who are members of a minority group will make unintentional microaggressions from time to time. We can, however, try to reduce these incidents by educating ourselves and being thoughtful and empathic.
