WSAVA/FECAVA/PSAVA Congress Postponed to March 2021

Following some careful consideration and a range of online meetings WSAVA, FECAVA and PSAVA have agreed to postpone this Year’s joint Congress.
WSAVA will issue shortly the following statement:

The World Small Animal Veterinary Association (WSAVA) has postponed its 2020 World Congress because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The global event was scheduled to be held in Warsaw, Poland, from 23-26 September, in collaboration with the Federation of Companion Animal Veterinary Associations (FECAVA) and the Polish Small Animal Veterinary Association (PSAVA). Congress will now be held from 21-24 March 2021.

This will also mean that our Council meeting and the working group meetings scheduled for September will have to be re-arranged.
The FECAVA Board is currently working on an alternative plan for these meetings and we will update you as soon as possible.

The new date for the Congress in Warsaw will slightly overlap with the long-anticipated new BSAVA Congress, which will be held for the first time in Manchester and the organisers of both events are currently looking at possibilities to link these events.
These are ambitious tasks and the organising committees are working flat out to make the end of March 2021 a CPD event to remember.

I hope that you will all understand that unfortunately the Congress in September had to be moved, but please do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further information.

With kind regards to you all on behalf of the FECAVA Board

Wolfgang Dohne DrMedVet MRCVS
FECAVA Senior Vice President and Chair of the EuroCongress Committee
