RCVS Knowledge Checklists

RCVS Knowledge is a charity with a mission to advance the quality of veterinary care for the benefit of animals, the public, and society. Their extensive list of checklist resources and templates have been designed for busy veterinary teams to make a start with continuous quality improvement in their practice.
These tools will help veterinary teams to embed evidence-based veterinary medicine in a manner that supplements and supports clinical decision making.

This peripheral catheter care checklist has been designed in combination with Sarah Hancill RVN and Anne Ward PGCertTLHE DipAVN(Surgical) RVN. It combines a catheter care checklist and the Ward Phlebitis Scoring chart [PDF 662KB] (Updated September 2019).

Surgical Safety Checklist

Surgical Safety Checklist Manual (CPD: 60 minutes)
A new resource detailing how surgical safety checklists can be used to improve patient safety within practice. Rolling take 5: Questions to discuss as a team
