    FECAVA processes personal data in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (General Data Protection Regulation – GDPR), the Belgian Act of 30 July 2018 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data, and any applicable implementing or amending legislation.

    The data controller is the Federation of European Companion Animal Veterinary Associations (FECAVA), an AISBL governed by Belgian law.

    In the context of FECAVA certification programmes, personal data may be disclosed to examiners, assessors, committees, auditors, and external service providers strictly for assessment, quality assurance, and administrative purposes. Such processing is limited to what is necessary and proportionate.

    Personal data are retained only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which they were collected, including certification validity, quality assurance, audit requirements, dispute resolution, and statutory retention obligations.

    Personal data shall not be sold or transferred for commercial purposes. Where data are shared with third parties, appropriate contractual and technical safeguards shall be applied to ensure compliance with data protection legislation.

    FECAVA implements appropriate technical and organisational measures to ensure a level of security appropriate to the risk, including protection against unauthorised or unlawful processing and accidental loss or damage.

 

  1. Amendments to the Privacy Policy
    This Privacy Policy may be amended at any time. The current version shall be published on the FECAVA website and shall apply from the date of publication.
