Dr. Marta Garbin earned her DVM with full marks at the University of Parma, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Italy, and obtained her Master of Science in veterinary anesthesia from the University of Pisa, also in Italy. After moving to North America, she completed her residency in veterinary anesthesiology and pain management at the University of Florida, USA, and earned her PhD in Veterinary Sciences at the Université de Montréal, Canada.
Since 2020, Dr. Marta Garbin has been a clinical instructor in anesthesia and analgesia at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Université de Montréal. Her work combines hands-on clinical experience with a commitment to education and innovation. Passionate about developing strategies that enhance animal welfare, she has gained expertise in locoregional anesthesia, ultrasound-guided techniques, and multimodal pain control for both small and large animals.
