Dr Leon Warne holds expertise in anaesthesia, pain-medicine, pharmaceutical R&D and higher-education. He graduated with a DVM from Murdoch University (2009). Following graduation, he undertook an internship in emergency and critical-care medicine. Leon joined the University of Melbourne, completing a residency and clinical master’s degree in anaesthesia, as well as a PhD in feline pain-medicine. In 2015 he completed an externship in human trauma management at Royal Melbourne Hospital. Leon is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Anesthesia and Analgesia; a senior research fellow at Curtin University; and a founder and hospital director of the Small Animal Specialist Hospital (SASH) in Perth, Western Australian. Leon’s research focuses on management and assessment of pain disorders. He has published extensively on the clinical use of CBD in both human and veterinary species.
