FECAVA is proud to offer scholarships that promote learning, exchange, and collaboration among companion animal veterinarians throughout Europe. These opportunities are designed to support continuing education, enable attendance at key veterinary events, and foster cross-border knowledge-sharing.
FECAVA Laboklin Travel Scholarship
Veterinary medicine is not just happening in your own country and both FECAVA and Laboklin want to see you traveling. Sounds too good to be true ?!….. Well, keep on reading…… To make your traveling plans (to visit a conference, a specialist centre or a colleagues in a different European country) possible we will support every year 2 recipients with 1000 Euros.
How to apply?
Just send us proof that you are a European veterinarian together with a 30-60 sec video clip about yourself and about your travel plans and you might be on your way! (see complete SOP below).
The deadline for applications for your travel plans in 2025/26 has been extended to the 18th of August 2025.

FECAVA Student Travel Scholarship
The FECAVA Student Travel Scholarship aims to enable veterinary students of European vet schools to enjoy the experience of visiting an international veterinary congress and to get an early introduction to FECAVA and its activities. This scholarship is organized by FECAVA and IVSA, the International Veterinary Student Association. The FECAVA Student Travel Scholarship is open to up to ten veterinary students of FECAVA countries in their final years at university (applicants still need to be students at the time of the congress). Successful candidates receive a free student delegate registration for the forthcoming joint FECAVA EuroCongress from 3-6th September in Antwerp, together with tickets for all the social events and up to 300 Euros to help with travel and accommodation expenses.

The Didier-Noël Carlotti Award
The Didier-Noël Carlotti Award is named after a veterinary surgeon who initiated, planned, and inspired FECAVA and served as its first President for four years. It is to be awarded annually to one of our members who has provided an outstanding service in the fields of interprofessional communication and/or continuing education for companion animal veterinarians in Europe. The Award is presented annually, usually at the opening ceremony of a FECAVA EuroCongress or of a joint WSAVA and FECAVA Congress
How to apply?
The Award comes in the form of a sculpture and is accompanied by a certificate featuring the FECAVA Logo and the signature of the FECAVA President. Applicants have to be
• FECAVA members
• Veterinarians
• Working in the field of companion animal veterinary medicine
The award can only be given once to an individual.
Applicants can be nominated by other veterinarians who are FECAVA members or by FECAVA member or associate member associations.
The nomination has to outline in not more than 200 words why the nominee would be a worthy recipient of the Award.
Nominations have to be received no later than on 30th June 2025 for the FECAVA EuroCongress, 3-6th September 2025 in Antwerp, Belgium. All nominations must be sent to the FECAVA Head Office in Brussels (info@fecava.org) and addressed to the attention of the FECAVA Honorary Secretary.
