Now open: EU Survey on best guidelines to fight antibiotic resistance

A questionnaire has been launched by the European joint action on antimicrobial resistance and healthcare associated infections (EU-JAMRAI), which includes stakeholders such as EPRUMA, the FVE and the UEVP. Aimed at ‘associations, vets, farmers and other professionals related to animal health’, the survey aims to find out which guidelines, measures or tools have been effective to improve responsible use of antibiotics and to reduce their use. The survey only takes a few minutes to complete. It will be open until May 16 and can be accessed directly here . Don’t forget to promote FECAVA’s own guidelines on responsible antimicrobial use

The questionnaire was prepared under work package 7 (WP7) of ‘Appropriate use of antimicrobials in humans and animals’, as part of the EU-JAMRAI project (2017-2020). The main objective of this project is to ensure that evidence-based measures for the control of antimicrobial resistance are adopted and implemented in all Member States in a coordinated manner, and taking account of existing guidelines and recommendations (WHO, OIE, FAO) and other European initiatives (e.g. JPIAMR, IMI).

Results will be summarised globally and published on the EU-JAMRAI website.
