EBVS Grants Provisional Recognition to European College of Veterinary Primary Care – Companion Animals
The European Board of Veterinary Specialisation (EBVS) has granted provisional recognition to the European College of Veterinary Primary Care – Companion Animals (ECVPC-CA), marking a major step towards establishing a formal specialist pathway for veterinarians working in general practice.
The development of the College has been strongly supported within the profession, with FECAVA past president Denis Novak and FECAVA vice president Stephan Neumann actively involved in its establishment and strategic development. This milestone reflects a growing recognition across Europe of the importance of primary care expertise and the need for structured career progression within general practice.
