Brachycephalic dogs: raising awareness in Brussels

During the general assembly of the Union of European Veterinary Practitioners (UEVP) yesterday, Ann Criel and Monique Megens (FECAVA) present the T-shirt that highlights the plight of brachycephalic dogs and the air-flow restricting mask that simulates the shortness of breath that these dogs suffer. The T-shirts and masks were shown and tried on by several delegates of the UEVP. FECAVA past president Monique Megens also presented expert recommendations for the veterinary profession to the assembly. She added that these would be taken into account of the draft UEVP/FVE animal welfare working group position paper on healthy breeding.
