Brachycepahlic dogs on the agenda in Brussels

“Veterinarians have a key role to play regarding the improvement of health and welfare of brachycephalic dogs,” stressed Monique Megens, past president of FECAVA and member of the joint animal welfare working party of the Union of European Veterinary Practitioners (UEVP) and the Federation of Veterinarians of Europe (FVE). Speaking at the general assembly of the UEVP in Brussels on 9 November, she presented the on-going activities of FECAVA in this field as well as the recommendations of the Expert panel discussion on brachycephalic dogs organised in September, jointly with the WSAVA.
